There are some places destined to
be a paradise for golfers and
Royal County Down golf course in Ireland is a prime example.
With the Mourne
Mountains in the background, the mist of the Irish sea and the fragrant
heather dunes, Royal County Down is a golfer's dreamland.
Tom Morris, the Royal County Down golf course architect, was given a meager 4 guinea in
1889 to complete the course. Having limited resources may
have been a blessing in disguise because the course was forced to
dictate its own design.
Royal County Down is a challenging beauty and will quickly expose the
flaws in even experts' games. However, it is so
disarmingly charming that it can reduce your game down to the ranks of a
mere amateur and yet leave you wanting to come back for more.
In this lithograph, Patrick Drickey has captured the 9th at Royal
County Down which displays to the world the splendor of this
Irish course. After seeing this golf course picture of
Royal County Down, who wouldn't want to golf
Ireland?
In the past few years, golfers have
discovered the joy of golfing Ireland. We understand why and have
added Royal County Down to our own "dream list" to
play. This lithograph reminds us of our goal.
The 12" X 24" golf art collector's lithograph uses archival
quality materials, includes Patrick Drickey's
personally penciled signature, a custom remarque illustrating the hole
layout and an information sheet on the golf course picture.
A rich mahogany wood finish and a single white matt with a black beveled
inner edge accents the framed golf
course prints.
Add this Royal County Down lithograph to the art collection of
those whose dream is to golf
Ireland.
